I know I’ve sent you the picture of those two starbucks next to each other the other day, but guess what: They’ve built a third one on that corner… inside a bookstore !!!

Another Look at Houston, TX

Hey man, I just came back from a visit to Houston, TX and now that I’m back home in Germany I realized that you did a page about my favorite stand-up comedy. I attached a picture that I took a couple of days ago because I am such a huge fan of that piece of comedy that I made my friends taking me there.

Didn’t know someone was as crazy as me and actually posting those pictures.

I have confirmation from Jennifer Gonzalez that in New York City there is another case of the Starbucks across the street form a Starbucks phenomenon. Apparently one instance of this is on Astor Place and the other One Near 38th street.

Sam Prus writes, “… at Webster and Clybourn in Chicago, you can sit in a Starbucks in the Barnes and Noble and look out the window to see a Starbucks across the street.” I have no pictures though to confirm this.

Orlando, Florida – near UCF

Another close call, but I’ll take. Reid McMullian writes, “in orlando, fl, just down the street from the university of central florida, there are three starbucks in one shopping center. the corner shop, one inside barnes and noble, and one inside a super target.”

San Francisco, CA Bay Area

The usual combination is that there will be a Starbucks free-standing, and a grocery store (either Albertsons, or Safeway) with a Starbucks inside. I can think of several locations where this is the case, off the top of my head, it’s so common. Tully and Central Expressway in San Jose, Sequoia Station on El Camino in Redwood City, and Loheman’s Plaza on Homestead in Sunnyvale, to name a few. What is slightly less common is when there is also a Barnes & Noble in the same shopping center as such a pairing, and then there will
also be a Starbucks inside the Barnes & Noble. The only concrete example I can think of is on San Pablo and Carlson in El Cerrito, but I know there are others.”

Brian Jackson writes: “Ok, here’s one I think you’ll like. Near UC Riverside (University of California at Riverside), there is a little shopping center (cinema, few restaurants, nothing very large). Originally it had one Starbucks on one corner, but as new restaurants were put in, a new, larger Starbucks was put in in the same shopping center. We all thought that the first would close, but to this day, they both remain open, in the same center, 200 feet away from each other. To be fair though, at any given time, there are a fair amount of people in both. Proof? From the Starbucks locater:”
