Characteristics of SinterFire Lead-Free, Reduced Hazard - Frangible Bullets

  • All SinterFire® bullets are manufactured using exclusive lead-free, copper/tin composite materials and controlled heat treatment and sintering technologies. SinterFire® is the originator and innovator of this new bullet and ammunition technology and has been awarded U.S. patent rights. International patent rights are pending.
  • The one-piece molded design provides functional reliability and uniform dimensional and weight control for superior accuracy and repeatable performance. No jacketing material or plating is used.
  • Process parameters allow for controlled fragmentation of the projectile upon impact with hard surfaces. Fragmentation, reduced hazard characteristics and "application specific" requirements can be specified per application.
  • Full embodiment of a proprietary lubricant provides reduced bore wear, minimizes bore fouling and aids in bore clean up. Additional benefits include increased velocities at reduced pressures.
  • Projectile designs are optimized through the use of CAD and rapid prototyping programs. The controlled flexibility of design and manufacturing allows for unlimited configurations and customer exclusive products. Hollow point configurations are available.
  • Molded-in taper crimp design provides bullet/case retention and promotes functional reliability.
  • The patented material composition and manufacturing process provides the controlled ballistic characteristics of all SinterFire® components and offers a true 100% lead-free, reduced hazard, frangible projectile. The ability to control the fragmentation allows SinterFire® to manufacture components to the application and performance requirements specified by the end user. The performance based design and manufacturing process is combined to produce a frangible projectile with the desired ballistic characteristics for superior performance and repeatable results.
