{"id":264,"date":"2009-06-07T08:45:44","date_gmt":"2009-06-07T12:45:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gergltd.com\/zambia\/?page_id=264"},"modified":"2009-06-17T10:20:06","modified_gmt":"2009-06-17T15:20:06","slug":"may-23-morning-safari-drive","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.gergltd.com\/zambia\/safari\/may-23-morning-safari-drive\/","title":{"rendered":"May 23 &#8211; Morning Safari Drive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>May 23, 2009<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We woke up at 5:30 AM for our 6 AM morning safari.\u00a0 This safari was another driving safari that was four hours long with a half hour break in the middle.\u00a0 We had some breakfast at the camp restaurant before leaving.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_151\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-151\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-151\" title=\"Giraffe\" src=\"http:\/\/gergltd.com\/zambia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/img_4868-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"Giraffe in the morning\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gergltd.com\/zambia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/img_4868-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.gergltd.com\/zambia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/img_4868-150x84.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.gergltd.com\/zambia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/img_4868-1024x576.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-151\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Giraffe in the morning<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The safari was great.\u00a0 We saw more warthogs this time.\u00a0 I took advantage of the daylight and took lots of pictures.<\/p>\n<p>When we returned from the safari, we booked a walking safari for the next morning with the two girls from England we met.\u00a0\u00a0 When we got back to camp, we saw that there were monkeys hanging out at camps adjacent to ours.<\/p>\n<p>We spent the rest of the day hanging out.\u00a0 It was really hot this day.\u00a0 They say Mfuwe is the warmest place in Zambia.\u00a0 John and I took naps.\u00a0 After we woke up, we went swimming at the on site pool.\u00a0 It was fun; they had a water slide.\u00a0 I also picked up stamps and postcards at the gift shop.\u00a0 Postage to the USA was 50 cents.\u00a0 We ate dinner and then returned to camp where we continued to relax.\u00a0 We went to bed early because we had to be up early again, this time for our morning walk safari.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>May 23, 2009 We woke up at 5:30 AM for our 6 AM morning safari.\u00a0 This safari was another driving safari that was four hours long with a half hour break in the middle.\u00a0 We had some breakfast at the camp restaurant before leaving.
